Well, it is official! We have successfully made it to the U.K., fur babies and all! It was quite the headache leaving the U.S. and getting into the U.K. but we all made it safe and sound! We are absolutely in love with this house, and can't wait for our belongings to be here next week to finally settle in.

Without further ado....I present you, our new home! Enjoy!

Isn't it so cute? We absolutely are in love! Stay tuned for more of our adventures coming soon!

Clean Your Makeup Brushes At Home

Hello Everyone!

I thought I'd switch it up a bit here on the blog today, and share with you a quick tip you can do at home to clean your makeup brushes. It's good to clean the brushes at least once a month, but every two weeks is best depending on how much you are using them on a daily basis. Cleaning them regularly prevents the build up of bad bacteria that cause breakouts on your skin, and no one likes breakouts!

All you'll need for this at home trick is dish soap! I always have Dawn brand at my house, but you can use whatever kind you have in your kitchen.

Start by grabbing a clean, dry towel to lay out the brushes on after you have finished washing them.

Icky, dirty brushes in need of a good bath!

Start by running hot water in the sink (as hot as you can stand with your bare hands). Hot water is an important part of getting out the bacteria in the brushes. Add just a drop of the dish soap, and start scrubbing the brush on the palm of your hand. It is important to always clean the brushes with the handle up at an 90 to no less than 45 degree angle to prevent water and soap from getting into the top of the brush. Depending on how dirty the brush is, you may need to scrub it once or twice, adding more soap if needed, until the soap bubbles are white. Rinse out the brush at the same angle until the water runs clean through the brush to achieve the best results. Squeeze out any excess water, and reshape the brush before laying it on your towel to dry. Repeat with all other brushes.

Tada! Now you have nice, clean brushes. Allow them to dry overnight before using them again the next morning.

I hope you enjoyed this quick tip! Have a wonderful day!
