Well, we made it. We finished the house. We sold it to a lovely young family, and I think they will fit into the little cul-de-sac well.
As excited as we are to move overseas next week, we are so sad to have let go of our first home together. Yes, there will be more places we will live and call home, but this one has been super special to us. It was the first place we were ever at together after about 2 1/2 years of being in opposite countries during the first part of our relationship. It was the place where we had our first animals together. We spent our engagement and first months of our marriage in that house. We made so many great memories in that house the last four years, and we also learned very important lessons about life and home ownership.
